Note to Sunrays Club swimmers:
The local media is always very supportive of our club when we ask for media coverage of an event. We’d like to make their job easy so that we can maximize coverage. One way to do that is to keep the media informed of what’s going on in the club and who’s swimming for the club. We’d like to provide the media with profiles of our swimmers so that it’s easy for them to run stories about us.
If you would be interested in being featured in local media (this may
include newspapers, radio and TV), please download and fill out the
Swimmer's profile so that we may submit it to local media.
Note to Club parents:
Our Club has a strong tradition of hosting great meets. The BC Synchro Community (athletes, coaches, club executives) have told us so! We have hosted Westerns in 2005, Provincials every second year, and BC Summer Games 2006.
As in the past, the success of this event is volunteer dependent. Your Meet Manager, Michelle Rex, has already been very busy — as has the organizing committee, kick-starting the preparations. Michelle will be contacting you closer to the meet to ask for specific help with scorekeeping and deck preparation jobs. Help is needed in a number of other areas as well. Many jobs only take a short amount of time and give you a chance to enjoy the event at the same time. To find out how you can help, please download: Jean Peters volunteers
We will be looking for sponsors for this event. Download our sponsor letter for more information: Jean Peters sponsor letter
We will need a variety of food items, dry goods, etc., as well as volunteer hands to take care of visiting judges and officials. If this is an area where you can help, please download: Jean Peters Hospitality Notes
